La Redoute appoints new CEO

Home and fashion retailer La Redoute has announced the appointment of Béatrice Héricourt as chief executive.

She joins the company from electrical appliance retailer Electro Dépôt where she has served as chief executive and led the digital transformation and international expansion of the business.

Prior to this, Héricourt worked at fashion retailer Kiabi Group, holding various roles before being appointed managing director in 2018.

She started her career as an auditor with the Arthur Andersen group before joining the Pimkie fashion brand, where she spent nine years in the collections and purchasing department.

In her new role, Héricourt will be responsible for supporting a new growth cycle for the company and strengthening its position as an online retailer in the home and fashion sectors.

Héricourt will report to Nicolas Houzé, executive chairman of the Galeries Lafayette Group, which has owned La Redoute since 2022, and will be based at the company's headquarters in Roubaix France.

“Her recognised leadership in managing multidisciplinary and multicultural teams, combined with her in-depth knowledge of retail and e-commerce in the ready-to-wear and home sectors, will be invaluable assets as we continue our development in France and abroad,” said Houzé. “We are convinced that, with the support of all our teams, she has the strategic and operational skills needed to support the company’s development and meet the challenges ahead in a turbulent economic climate.”
